企業沿革

1979年

元寶食品成立,最初是玉米黃豆等大宗物資的進口商,並同時出口台灣冷藏豬肉到日本市場。但日本為了保護畜牧業,宣布提高冷藏豬肉進口的底價門檻,台灣豬肉失去競爭力而終止該業務。而後元寶食品由日本進口無籽葡萄及水蜜桃,並率先進口韓國富士蘋果及新高梨,獲得市場業者好評,為了配合政府保護政策,管制韓國新高梨進口而停止該項業務。

1980年代

台灣西式餐飲烘焙市場受美軍供應站影響,初期絕大部分使用美日原物料產品。當時供應各國航空公司的圓山空廚,及新成立的五星級國際飯店、俱樂部業者,開始有美日以外的歐陸食材需求,元寶食品開始每週由巴黎及阿姆斯特丹空運進口新鮮蔬果、海鮮、起司、乳製品及葡萄酒銷售,開創台灣歐陸餐飲烘焙市場的新頁。

1990年代

經濟高度發展餐飲烘焙市場興盛,因應歐陸食材需求增加,元寶食品轉而海運進口供應餐飲高端業者。因精緻餐點必須要有匹配的佐餐酒,因此元寶開始進口高檔葡萄酒,包含香檳、阿爾薩斯白酒、波爾多紅酒、勃根地白酒、隆河紅酒。然而後期台灣開放酒類進口,市場大量進口葡萄酒導致市場紛亂,元寶因而相對減少酒類進口業務。

此外烘焙市場開始注重品質,原本的紐澳乳製品獨佔市場,但五星級飯店外籍主廚則鍾愛法國的產品,因此開始引領本地專業師傅大量改用歐陸的烘焙原物料。

2000年代

元寶食品於環山路成立新辦公室並設立專業烘焙烹飪教室,以當時國內一流設備提供完善的教學環境,讓學員享有猶如置身國外專業學校的教學品質。期間元寶引進歐陸餐飲及烘焙知名品牌,提供業界原物料及應用示範活動,藉由國外大師技術交流將最新歐陸餐飲烘焙趨勢引進台灣市場。

2000年09月並結合國內頂尖的西餐和烘焙名廚,於台北市內湖開設經營「古斯特義式餐廳Gusto Italiano」及「莎瓦法式烘焙Saveurs de France」,藉此將元寶進口之高品質餐飲原物料,推廣給餐飲烘焙界與每位熱愛美食的饕客。

2010年代 ~ 未來展望

元寶食品因應日趨成長的業務量而遷至瑞湖街現址,新辦公室規劃成立專業級教室,大量使用進口烘焙烹飪器材,除了可容納近百人參觀教學外也可進行實作教學跟展演茶會。此外邀請國內外專業大師透過示範建立起與客戶的連結,並讓客戶品嚐各品牌原物料不同的應用方式,並且向世界頂尖主廚學習最新的餐飲烘焙技術和時尚趨勢。

2019 元寶食品40周年,元寶食品將為台灣餐飲烘焙業持續提供專業優質產品及服務。

Treasure Foods created by 1979, but was already the very first company in Taiwan to supply authentic origin fresh, western products to international five-star hotels and famous restaurants. At the same time we started importing fresh ingredients—oyster, lobster, smoked salmon, Dover sole and fresh vegetables. Besides cream, butter, yogurt, cheese and fruit products were also imported by air, as well as Foie gras, truffle, regional delicatessen and specialty foods, Champagne, best French appellations and vintages wines.

From 80’s to 90’s Taiwan fast economical growth and development also boosted Taiwan food and beverage market, demanding for more ingredients at all level of quality. T.F. chose to stick to quality as persuaded that top brands quality is linked to drastic selections and controls for the good reputation of their users and the benefits of their consumers. T.F began to import the best European products from their origin regions and chose each time the most famous brands and producers. At that time we started inviting international professional chefs and experts to come and demonstrate their techniques and explain the characteristics of the products and the application made from them around the world. By the same time T.F. began to organize chefs training trips in area of production and by professional school in France.

With the millennium, T.F. inaugurated our own facilities, setting up a professional classroom with an European professional standard laboratory in our new office building, enabling to provide the best teaching environment for domestic professional chefs and guest the best international chefs (MOF, 3 star Michelin, World Cup rewarded chefs). This fulfills our mission to facilitate local professionals, to find teaching quality in the same conditions as if being in a foreign professional classroom.
